Two people have died and a third was injured after a car collided with a group of cyclists in Kent. The incident occurred just before 07:50 BST on Sunday on Sole Street in Cobham, near Gravesend, according to Kent Police.
A white Ford Focus crashed into three cyclists. Emergency services confirmed the deaths of a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s at the scene. Their families have been informed.
The third cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Following the collision, police closed the road to conduct an investigation.
Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the crash. Two men, aged 20 and 21, were detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. A 19-year-old woman was also held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Kent Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the vehicle or the cyclists prior to the accident to come forward.
