Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced on Friday that Israeli forces have seized control of the Ali al-Taher ridge in southern Lebanon from Hezbollah fighters. The strategic highland is located approximately 10 kilometers from the Israeli border.
Hezbollah has not confirmed the loss of the position. The area has been subjected to intense Israeli airstrikes in recent weeks, continuing a pattern of military activity despite the existence of a ceasefire agreement between the two sides.
