Lenovo Unveils ThinkBook Project Swan, a Rollable Laptop with a 17-Inch Expanding Display

During the IFA 2026 trade show, Lenovo introduced the ThinkBook Project Swan, a business-oriented laptop concept featuring a rollable display. The device’s screen horizontally expands from a compact 14-inch format to a wider 17-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio, allowing users to transition seamlessly between mobile productivity and media consumption.

While Lenovo has previously experimented with rollable technology—including a commercially released model last year—the Project Swan adopts a more conservative design approach compared to the vertically expanding ThinkBook Plus Gen 6.

The concept highlights the company’s continued focus on flexible display innovation for the professional market, offering increased screen real estate without the bulk of a traditional 17-inch chassis.
