HP has introduced the 2026 OmniBook 5 14, a new laptop positioned directly against Apple’s MacBook Neo. Starting at $699.99, the device features an Intel Core 5 315 processor from the “Wildcat Lake” family, paired with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid-state drive.
The machine mirrors the aesthetic and pricing strategy of recent entries from Dell, Asus, and Acer, including a selection of four color options: silver, pink, blue, and green. However, HP differentiates the OmniBook by equipping every configuration with an OLED display, a feature that sets it apart from some competitors in this segment.
While the base model targets budget-conscious buyers, HP allows for significant upgrades. Consumers can configure the laptop with up to a Core 7 350 chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Despite these varying internal specs, all units will include a 1080p webcam.
