Anthropic has announced the launch of two new productivity tools for Claude: Docs and Slides. The updates allow users to generate documents and presentations directly within their conversations, with the ability to export, edit, and share the resulting files with other collaborators.
In conjunction with the new features, the company is streamlining its chat architecture. The separate “Cowork” mode and standard chat sessions will be merged into a single “One Claude” interface. This consolidation means that all AI productivity capabilities, including the newly introduced Docs and Slides, as well as existing artifacts and Claude Design tools, will be accessible from any conversation.
According to Anthropic, the updated system is designed to automatically determine which tools are necessary for a given task, ensuring that advanced features like Cowork and Design are available across all conversations with full context.
Honestly, I just want it to stop hallucinating facts while I make slides!
Can anyone confirm if Cowork mode preserves context better now that it’s merged?
Docs and Slides built-in is a game-changer for my workflow. Much needed.
Will this mean slower response times? I worry consolidation might just bloat the system.
Finally, one interface for everything. The fragmented experience was driving me crazy.
