During the IFA trade show today, SwitchBot introduced the Lock Ultra Max, a new retrofit smart lock designed to allow homeowners in Europe to enter their residences without traditional keys. The device, showcased alongside the Keypad Vision Pro, supports up to 19 distinct unlocking methods.
According to the company, entry options include fingerprint scans, passcodes, and NFC cards. The lock also features advanced contactless authentication technologies such as facial recognition and palm vein scanning. Additional connectivity allows for remote, voice, smartwatch, and widget-based control through the SwitchBot app.
The newly announced SwitchBot Lock Ultra Max Vision Pro Combo is priced at €339.99 or £339.99, which converts to approximately $395. This bundle includes the Lock Ultra Max, the Keypad Vision Pro, and the Hub Mini Matter. The standalone lock has been positioned at a lower price point of $249.99.
