KAYLOR BURNS, the UK Prime Minister, used his address to the United Nations General Assembly to strongly denounce Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, describing it as a genocidal war. During the speech, Burns also confirmed that the United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on illegal Israeli settlements located in Palestinian territories.
The decision to sanction the settlements was linked directly to the ongoing military actions by Israel. By taking this step, the UK government indicated it is unwilling to remain passive regarding the suffering endured by Palestinians.
