A Mexican court has found three men guilty of the 2024 killings of two Australian surfers and their American companion, a case that drew widespread international attention. The verdict comes after the fatal shooting of the trio occurred on Mexico’s Pacific coastline during a suspected robbery.
The victims were identified as brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, aged 30 and 33, alongside their friend Carter Rhoad, who was also 30. The group was traveling for a surfing trip in Baja California when they were shot dead.
The conviction concludes a high-profile legal proceeding involving the deaths of foreigners in the region, with the case previously sparking outrage across multiple countries.
