Taylor Swift has confirmed she will attend the Country Music Association Awards on November 18, marking her first appearance at the ceremony in a decade. The announcement came hours after she received a nomination for single of the year for “I Knew It, I Knew You,” effectively cementing her ongoing resurgence in country music.
Swift took to her Instagram Stories to share the news, writing in all-caps, “LOOKS LIKE I HAVEN’T YEE’D MY LAST HAW,” followed by an emoji of a smiling face wearing a cowboy hat. She added, “THANK YOU CMA!!!! See you there Nov. 18.” The message referenced the Jessie the cowgirl theme of the track, which serves as the closing song for the movie “Toy Story 5.”
Ten years is a long time. Does this mean she’s fully returning to country, or just celebrating this one hit?
Absolutely thrilled! I missed seeing her at the CMAs, and this comeback nomination is a huge deal for country music.
