SpaceX has entered the escalating corporate battle for Nvidia’s advanced artificial intelligence processors, reportedly initiating discussions with Wall Street firms about raising a substantial sum to fund the acquisitions, according to reports from CNBC.
The private aerospace manufacturer is understood to be considering borrowing an amount roughly equal to the revenue it generates each year to finance the purchase of Nvidia GPUs, the same hardware currently in high demand by major tech competitors including Meta Platforms and Amazon.
According to the report, SpaceX could be prepared to commit as much as $40 billion to this initiative. The estimated expenditure would align with the company’s recent annual revenue figures, which surpassed $10 billion during the previous year.
If the transactions proceed as outlined, SpaceX would become the latest major enterprise to make significant investments in Nvidia technology. This move follows similar large-scale purchasing commitments made recently by Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.
