Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang has reiterated his stance that concerns regarding the existential threats of artificial intelligence are significantly overstated. During a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the tech mogul stated there is a “0% chance” that AI could lead to the end of the world, countering long-standing warnings from the scientific community.
Huang went further to criticize those raising alarms about AI safety, labeling their actions as irresponsible and unnecessary. He also challenged the calls from fellow industry leaders, including Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, to decelerate AI development. Huang characterized their recommendations as lacking a scientific foundation and asserted that no new laws, guidelines, or regulatory frameworks are required at this time.
