MS Now reported that its staff were prevented from entering the White House complex on Saturday morning, shortly after President Donald Trump announced a ban on journalists from his news organization, as well as CNN and Politico.
According to the outlet, a reporter and a cameraman were stopped at a security checkpoint near the West Wing. US Secret Service agents allegedly confiscated their press credentials and denied them entry to the grounds.
The incident followed the President’s recent declaration regarding the media blackout. Speaking on the decision to exclude reporters from MS Now, CNN, and Politico, Trump stated, ‘You get sick of it,’ referring to their respective news coverage.
This marks the first confirmed instance of enforcement action against MS Now personnel since the ban was imposed.
