Rebecca Kutler, president of MS NOW, formerly known as MSNBC, is looking to convert the network’s vast television and digital viewership into a cohesive community of fans. The strategy involves deepening engagement beyond passive watching by fostering direct interactions between the audience and on-air talent.
The network has already cultivated a large following around its anchor roster, which includes Chris Hayes, Stephanie Ruhle, and Rachel Maddow. These personalities have drawn not only casual viewers but also a dedicated base of devotees. According to Kutler, the goal is to build on that momentum by creating platforms for fan interaction.
In an initial move to kickstart this sense of belonging, the network plans to offer viewers the opportunity to engage directly with hosts such as Maddow. By shifting from a traditional broadcast model to one that emphasizes community and participation, MS NOW hopes to establish a loyal fanbase similar to those found in sports or entertainment industries.
