King Charles and Queen Camilla were among the crowds at the annual Braemar Gathering in Royal Deeside on Saturday, joining thousands of spectators to watch a variety of Highland games events.
The gathering, held on the first Saturday of September each year, attracts attendees from around the world and coincides with the monarch’s traditional summer holiday at the nearby Balmoral estate.
The Royal couple observed several classic competitions, including tug-of-war, caber tossing, hammer throwing, Highland dancing, and a parade of pipe bands.
This marks the third time the King has attended the Braemar Gathering since his coronation.
