Two Workers Rescued from Nepal Flood Tunnel After Nine Days

KATHMANDU — Rescuers in Nepal have pulled two workers to safety from a tunnel blocked by mud nine days after devastating floods struck the country.

The pair are currently receiving medical treatment as emergency crews continue their desperate search for additional survivors. The catastrophic flooding has claimed more than 1,200 lives and left over 5,000 people unaccounted for.

Authorities estimate that approximately 115 individuals are still trapped inside the collapsed tunnel, with hopes remaining slim for their survival.
