Israeli troops killed two Palestinian teenagers in the village of al-Mughayyir following an incursion by settlers and soldiers, marking another incident in the ongoing displacement campaign across the occupied West Bank. The attacks occurred outside Hebron, where military forces also demolished an entire settlement in the area.
Khalil Abu Alia, 16, was targeted as he prepared to begin 11th grade at the al-Mughayyir boys’ school. Omar al-Nassan, 19, was also shot dead; he had recently graduated from the same institution with top marks during the summer.
Witnesses reported that settlers surrounded the village alongside Israeli troops before the shootings took place. The incidents have intensified concerns about ethnic cleansing and violent expansion in the region, as rights groups describe a surge in forced displacement and property destruction throughout the West Bank.
