Playground Games has officially announced that the PlayStation 5 version of Forza Horizon 6 will no longer arrive in 2026 as previously stated. Instead, the racing title is scheduled for release on January 26, 2027.
The delay was anticipated after the studio initially confirmed a 2026 launch earlier this year. The postponed date coincides with the debut of a new expansion for the game, which will also be available on Xbox and PC at that time. The expansion follows the game’s original launch on those platforms on May 15.
Additionally, Playground Games is introducing a Premium Edition for PS5 owners. This special version includes up to five days of early access to the game ahead of the standard January 26th release date.
Wait, so we get it on Xbox in May 2026, but Sony fans have to wait until 2027? Really?
At least the expansion launches simultaneously. Glad they aren’t treating the PS5 version as an afterthought.
Did Microsoft forget PlayStation exists until now? Another year delay after everything else.
January is wild timing. I just want to drive cars in summer, not freeze my thumbs off in winter!
Five more days early access for the premium buyers? That feels like a cash grab targeting impatient fans.
