According to the FAA, Flight 7598, a Boeing 767-300 freighter, landed around 2 p.m. local time after departing from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The agency confirmed the incident in a statement released shortly after the event.
Air traffic control audio obtained from LiveATC.com indicates that the aircraft did not stop within the runway limits. The recordings suggest the plane continued off the end of the tarmac and may have collided with a vehicle traveling on an adjacent perimeter road.
