Cricut is deepening its focus on the sticker market with the launch of two new devices: the StickerPix Print and the StickerPix Print + Cut. The Salt Lake City-based maker of home crafting equipment has released these machines to simplify the process of producing custom, durable stickers for hobbyists and small business owners.
The StickerPix Print is the more compact option, measuring 7.8 x 5 x 3.5 inches. It is designed to print on standard 4 x 6-inch photo paper or pre-cut sticker sheets provided by Cricut. For users seeking a more integrated solution, the StickerPix Print + Cut offers a larger footprint at 8 x 11.3 x 4.1 inches. This model supports 4 x 7-inch sticker sheets in addition to photo paper and uniquely combines printing with the company’s signature cutting technology, allowing for custom shapes beyond pre-cut templates.
Both devices utilize dye-sublimation technology, which uses heat to transfer dye directly onto the material. This process is followed by the application of a laminate layer, ensuring the final stickers are resistant to water, scratches, and fading. Previously, achieving similar results with other Cricut machines required a separate inkjet printer and additional laminate sheets, making the new StickerPix units a more space-efficient alternative for those focused primarily on printing.
Unlike the die-cut stickers produced by Cricut’s traditional cutting machines, where shapes are fully separated from the backing, these new printers produce kiss-cut stickers. These remain attached to a single sheet until manually peeled off. As with all Cricut hardware, operation requires the Cricut Design Space software, which may encourage users to subscribe to Cricut Access for expanded design templates and discounts.
The machines are available for purchase immediately. The StickerPix Print starts at $169, while the StickerPix Print + Cut is priced at $299. Both packages include starter supplies such as sticker sheets, photo paper, and an ink cartridge.
