In a stunning conclusion to an NFL match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little sank a 57-yard field goal as time expired to secure a 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The game appeared to be slipping away from Jacksonville when Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts led a nine-play, 32-yard drive, setting up a 48-yard Jake Elliott field goal with just 12 seconds remaining. With the Eagles leading 17-16 and the home crowd anticipating a Philadelphia win, little hope remained.
However, Jaguars return specialist Ameer Abdullah delivered a pivotal moment, returning the ensuing kickoff 53 yards to give Little ample field position. Little then connected on the potential game-winner as the clock hit zero.
Earlier in the fourth quarter, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had thrown a critical 27-yard touchdown pass to Parker Washington on fourth down with under four minutes left, shifting the score to 16-14. Following a forced punt by Jacksonville with two minutes remaining, the Jaguars seemed poised to hold on.
The contest was marked by chaos from the opening moments, when a 90-yard Eagles touchdown was nullified by penalties, resulting in the ejection of two players.
Lawrence delivered a standout performance, completing 24 of 39 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns, along with one interception. He connected with Parker Washington six times for 124 yards and two scores. The Jaguars improve to 4-1 on the season, bolstering their status as Super Bowl contenders.
Conversely, the Eagles drop to 2-3 amid a season already marred by injuries and inconsistency. Hurts finished 21 of 40 for 220 yards and a touchdown without a turnover.
The NFL concludes its London series next Sunday, October 18, at Wembley Stadium, where the Jaguars will face division rivals Houston Texans. The 2026 NFL season continues to air on Sky Sports, with the playoffs and Super Bowl LXI scheduled for February 14, 2027.
