An Israeli human rights organization has issued a stark report accusing Israel of systematically working to erase the living conditions necessary for Palestinian collective existence in the occupied West Bank. Published by B’Tselem, the document describes a comprehensive assault on the fundamental prerequisites for daily life.
Shared with The Guardian prior to its release, the report details how Israel is dramatically escalating its interference with every facet of Palestinian life. This includes obstructing access to employment, education, healthcare, and municipal services, as well as hindering the ability to visit family, farm land, or travel for leisure.
According to the findings, these restrictions target routine activities that constitute human life, effectively undermining the infrastructure of survival for the Palestinian population. The report also highlights the lethal context of these measures, noting that 1,107 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 2023.
