Boox has introduced the Palma 3, the latest iteration of its popular smartphone-sized e-reader, bringing significant hardware and software updates nearly two years after the previous model. The device, which features a redesigned chassis and new functionality, is priced at $339.99, marking a notable increase from the Palma 2’s launch price of $279.99 in 2024.
While the Palma 3 retains the same 6.13-inch, 300ppi E Ink Carta display as its predecessor, the company has wrapped the screen in a new anodized aluminum frame. Alongside the aesthetic overhaul, the device introduces stylus support and runs on Android 16, aiming to justify the price bump for users seeking enhanced productivity features in a pocketable form factor. Boox stated the device will be available soon.
As an illustrator, a pocketable device with a stylus is every dream. Can’t wait to try it out.
