Trump to Sign Beef Executive Order Following Tariff Pause

Trump to Sign Beef Executive Order Following Tariff Pause

President Donald Trump is scheduled to sign an executive order concerning the beef industry this Friday, the White House confirmed.

The upcoming action follows a policy shift announced last month, in which the administration paused increased tariffs on ground beef imports for a 90-day period. Under this arrangement, up to 300,000 metric tons of the product are permitted to enter the United States without being subject to the higher out-of-quota tariff rates.

  1. What about domestic ranchers? I hope this doesn’t hurt local producers who’ve been struggling already.
