Microsoft has officially introduced Mythic Achievements, a new feature now available for testing by Xbox Insiders. The system closely parallels Sony’s Platinum trophy model, granting the badge once a user has collected every original achievement within a specific title.
According to the Xbox team, the update retroactively applies to compatible games, including titles from the Xbox 360 era. “Mythic Achievements have already been added to eligible games you completed in the past, including Xbox 360 titles,” the company stated. “The next time you visit your profile, you may discover that some of your favorite games have already reached Mythic status.”
In addition to the new achievement tier, Xbox profiles will soon feature a dedicated gaming tab designed to help users monitor their Gamerscore milestones and track progress toward Mythic status.
Does this mean the new gaming tab replaces the old profile view entirely?
Wait, this applies to Xbox 360 games too? I might finally get a Mythic badge after ten years.
