The quarter-final stage of the World Grand Prix has commenced on day five of the tournament in Leicester, featuring a robust lineup of darts professionals. Matches include a high-profile clash between Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, as well as a contest between Gian van Veen and James Wade.
High-ranking players Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall are also set to compete during this session. Aspinall is noted for reaching the quarter-finals for the first time in this event. The action is being broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports+.
The event took place on Friday, October 2, 2026, continuing the competitive format established in previous rounds of the World Grand Prix.
Wade is a legend, but can he really upset van Veen? That’s going to be a tough one for the older pro to win comfortably.
Just heard the crowds in Leicester are massive this year. The atmosphere at the Marshall Arena sounds incredible for day five.
Aspinall reaching his first World Grand Prix quarter-final is huge for him. Really exciting times ahead for the Welshman.
Price vs Clayton is going to be an absolute battle. Can’t wait to see who comes out on top in that quarter-final!
