WiCi is addressing the needs of users who prioritize laptop portability but require significant graphical power for gaming and AI workloads. The company has unveiled the WiCi One, an external GPU that transmits graphics over Wi-Fi 7, eliminating the need for the Thunderbolt or OCuLink cables typically required by other eGPU solutions.
The self-contained unit integrates a dedicated graphics card, a Wi-Fi 7 module, and its own cooling system. The entry-level configuration is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GPU, an Intel Core 3 100U processor, and 1TB of NVMe storage. According to WiCi, this setup can sustain 80 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K Ultra settings with DLSS 4, and achieve 60 fps in Black Myth: Wukong at 4K Cinematic quality.
Beyond gaming, the company positions the device as a capable tool for running local AI assistants and handling demanding AI tasks. A higher-tier model featuring an RTX 5090 32GB GPU, an Intel Core Ultra 7 225H processor, and 4TB of NVMe 5 storage is also in development, though pricing for that variant has not yet been finalized.
The base model WiCi One is available for preorder at $1,999, with the retail price set to rise to $2,599. Shipments are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
