Rantzen, who famously presented the long-running current affairs series That’s Life! for two decades and established the youth support charity Childline, had planned to use a Dignitas clinic after her terminal lung cancer diagnosis in 2023.
However, Rantzen stated that her increasing physical fragility has made such travel impossible, highlighting the growing difficulties faced by individuals seeking assisted death abroad as their conditions deteriorate.
