A United States Air Force officer, who was trapped in Iran for over two days after his F-15 fighter jet was shot down, has shared his experience witnessing the rescue of his fellow crew member.
In an interview for the season premiere of “60 Minutes,” anchor Norah O’Donnell spoke with the officer about the harrowing ordeal. The F-15 pilot found himself stranded deep within Iranian territory, forced to observe from a distance as a high-stakes mission was mounted to retrieve his crewmate.
