President Donald Trump has labeled Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) as “totally crooked” during his initial public statements regarding the federal search of her residence. The remarks come as part of ongoing criminal investigations involving the congresswoman.
Speaking to reporters prior to departing the White House for Ohio, Trump acknowledged the scrutiny being applied to Omar. “Well, I understand they’re looking at her very carefully,” he said. He added that his personal assessment of the lawmaker had long been negative, stating, “I’ve always found her to be totally crooked personally.”
