In a move that signals a significant shift in federal terminology, the US executive branch has ceased acknowledging the term “artificial intelligence.” Under a new executive order signed by President Donald Trump, all official government policy websites, documents, and press releases are now required to refer exclusively to “Super Intelligence.”
The decision was announced during a ceremony launching America.gov, a government communications initiative. Speaking at the event, President Trump expressed strong enthusiasm for the new terminology.
“The word super is the best word of all, and it’s the simplest,” Trump said. He also noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping, who visited the White House the previous week, approved of the term. Trump further explained the rationale behind the change, stating, “We don’t want to hear artificial. Because it’s not artificial. It’s very powerful, it’s very brilliant.”
The directive effectively removes the “artificial” qualifier from federal language, framing the technology as a potent and innate capability rather than a synthetic construct.
