Real Madrid are monitoring the situation surrounding Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, reportedly prepared to sign the 35-year-old defender when his contract expires at the end of the season. According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish giants view the Dutch international as a viable free-agent target.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are moving to secure the future of French winger Michael Olise. The German club plans to offer the 24-year-old a contract extension running until 2032, significantly lengthening his current deal which is set to expire in 2029.
However, Bayern have dismissed speculation linking them with Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. The club stated that the 32-year-old is not part of their plans for potential succession to Manuel Neuer.
Bayern are also reported to be interested in Barcelona defender Jules Kounde. The 27-year-old Frenchman has fallen out of favour at Camp Nou this season, prompting interest from Munich.
In England, Manchester United are exploring options to bolster their attack and have identified Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta as a target. The 29-year-old is said to be on United’s radar as they look to add depth to their forward line.

Finally, former Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian is set to rejoin Italian side Bologna. The 36-year-old, who was released by Inter Milan last season, will begin training with his new club on Wednesday.
