For enthusiasts who see the world in building blocks, finding the perfect present goes beyond selecting a standard boxed set. In its latest guide, Wired evaluated a wide range of Lego-themed products to identify standout gifts for brick builders, blending traditional construction kits with interactive technology and gaming.
Among the top picks is the Lego Speed Champions series, which offers a sleek way to recreate high-speed racing moments. The collection is currently seeing significant value, with prices dropping from $27 to approximately $15 on Amazon, reflecting a discount of around 44%.
For those interested in a more technologically integrated experience, the Lego Star Wars Smart Play Throne Room Duel and A-Wing set stands out. This “smart brick” creation bridges physical building with digital play, allowing users to interact with the models through an app. Originally priced at $160, the set is available for roughly $128, marking a 20% reduction.
The guide also features the Lego Botanicals Bouquet of Pink Roses, catering to builders who appreciate aesthetic decor. Priced at around $48, down from $60, this set provides a lasting floral arrangement constructed entirely from bricks. Additionally, for gamers, the new title Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is highlighted as a premier video game option, offered at a discounted rate of $60 compared to its original $70 price tag.
The Throne Room Duel used to be absolutely massive. Glad to see the price finally dropped to something reasonable.
Is the new Batman game worth $60? I’m waiting for some reviews before committing to that purchase.
Honestly, who needs real roses when you have a Lego bouquet? It never wilts and looks surprisingly stylish on my shelf.
I’m curious how the smart brick app performs? The concept sounds great but I hope the technology is actually stable.
That 44 percent discount on Speed Champions is no joke. Grabbed three sets immediately while they lasted.
