Teen Boy Rescued After Days Adrift in Bering Sea as Brothers Die

A teenage boy has been rescued from the Bering Sea after spending several days clinging to an overturned fishing vessel, a dramatic search operation that ended with the loss of two other young men. According to authorities, the teenager’s older brother and cousin perished in the incident.

The group departed from Alaska’s St Lawrence Island on Friday aboard an 18-foot fishing boat. They were scheduled to return early on Sunday but failed to arrive, prompting concerns among officials.

The U.S. Coast Guard initiated a search operation on Sunday evening. The following afternoon, an aircrew located the sole survivor, who had been holding onto the capsized hull for days.
