Team Europe has announced its starting lineup for Saturday’s Solheim Cup contest at Bernardus Golf, with Maja Stark and Linn Grant set to lead the charge. The pairing follows a gripping opening day that ended with both Team Europe and Team USA locked at 4-4 points, marking only the second time in the event’s history—and the first since 2002—that the competition remained level after Day One.
European skipper Caroline Hedwall has opted to stick with three of the four foursomes pairings that teed off on Friday. The notable change sees rookies Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud step in to partner with Stark and Grant. The young duo claimed the sole full point for Europe during the fourball session earlier in the week. Meanwhile, established stars Celine Boutier and Nanna Koerstz Madsen have been benched after losing both of their fourball matches together.
On the American side, Team USA has made a single rotation from their Friday morning foursomes lineup, with Auston Kim replacing Lindy Duncan. The unbeaten foursomes pairing of Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz will take the first tee, looking to extend their perfect 5-0 record in the format. They will face the Swedish duo of Stark and Grant, while Charley Hull and Lottie Woad will play the bottom match.
The tie was secured late in the afternoon session thanks to Carlota Ciganda, whose dramatic par save on the 18th hole preserved a half-point for Europe and ensured the hosts would not fall behind. Spirits in the European camp remain high following that clutch performance.
Broadcast coverage begins at 6:00 am local time on Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports Main Event, with the first tee shots scheduled for 6:40 am.
