Spanish Police Use Force to Relocate Migrants in Ceuta

Authorities in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta employed batons and discharged weapons into the air as they commenced the relocation of migrants from local beaches to a newly designated facility. The operation targets approximately 10,000 individuals who have remained in the territory for several weeks.

This forced transfer follows one of the largest migrations in recent history, with more than 72,000 people crossing from Morocco into the Spanish territory. The use of physical force during the move highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding the management of arrivals in the region.
