SpaceXAI, formerly operating as SpaceXSI, has introduced a consolidated membership program called the X Subscription. The rebranding follows a directive from CEO Elon Musk to replace the term “artificial intelligence” with “super intelligence,” aligning with President Donald Trump’s terminology preference.
The new service integrates access to Grok, Grok Bot, the coding platform Cursor, and X Premium features into a single subscription structure, depending on the chosen tier. This move consolidates offerings from the company’s August acquisition of the coding startup Cursor.
The entry-level Plus plan is priced at $8 per month for individual users. It includes access to Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine, and Build capabilities, alongside the Grok API. Subscribers also receive coding tools via Cursor and standard X Premium benefits, which consist of a verification checkmark, reduced advertising on their timeline, enhanced creator tools, and advanced analytics.
For $30 a month, the Premium tier expands upon the base plan by adding Grok Bot and the newest Grok models. Users can generate AI images and videos through Grok and benefit from faster chat responses. On the Cursor side, this tier unlocks code hosting, cloud agents, and automation features. X subscribers gain ad-free browsing and the ability to reserve their preferred handle.
Higher tiers offer prioritized access and increased capacity. The $100-per-month Super tier provides everything in the Premium plan plus priority access to Grok models during peak usage times. The top-tier Ultra plan, costing $200 monthly, grants earliest access to all products and models, along with 20 times the usage capacity of the Plus plan.
Team packages are available for the Premium, Super, and Ultra levels, while enterprise clients can arrange customized plans directly with the company.
Here we go again with the tiered subscriptions. Why can’t things just be simple?
Eight dollars isn’t bad for Grok access alone, but bundled features are tricky.
Did they really just change AI to super intelligence because of political preference?
So Cursor is now part of the social media package? Weird pivot for a coding tool.
$200 a month for code hosting? That’s steep. I’ll stick to GitHub for now.
Wait, is this SpaceX or X? I’m getting confused by the rebranding already.
