Saudi Arabia suspended operations at a vital crude oil pipeline on Friday after the infrastructure was hit in a series of attacks, the kingdom’s Energy Ministry announced.
The East-West pipeline, a key artery for the nation’s energy exports, was targeted on Thursday morning in the Riyadh and Madinah regions. The ministry confirmed that multiple individuals sustained injuries during the incidents.
In response, emergency and technical teams were dispatched to the site to secure the area and evaluate the structural integrity of the pipeline. The Energy Ministry stated in a statement that any further updates regarding the situation would be released in due course.
