Benjamin Satterley, the English professional wrestler renowned for his aerial maneuvers and known globally as ‘Pac,’ has passed away at the age of 40. The announcement was made late Sunday on the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) website, though no cause of death was specified.
AEW expressed their sorrow in a statement, writing, “Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”
Satterley, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, began his career in 2004 after becoming interested in the sport through his aunt, a fan of the WWF. He started training at 18 and quickly gained recognition, earning monikers such as “The Super Superman” and “The Man That Gravity Forgot.” From 2012 to 2018, he performed under the name Adrian Neville while building an international presence that began in 2007.
He signed with AEW in 2019 and went on to become the organization’s inaugural International Champion and a two-time World Trios Champion. Most recently, he competed in Chicago on Saturday, where he faced Andrade El Ídolo for the AEW National Championship.
Tributes have flooded social media from fellow athletes honoring his legacy. Wrestler Will Ospreay posted, “The greatest export from our country. Also the greatest human being,” adding that he was honored to have shared the ring with him. Kevin Owens shared photographs of the two alongside the message, “The best lad… We love you.” Alexa Bliss also commented, “I cannot believe this. RIP PAC 💔.”
