Porto has secured the title of Europe’s most welcoming city, according to recent findings that underscore the warm reputation of Portugal’s cities among travelers. Lisbon followed closely behind, claiming the second position in the rankings.
The results highlight a strong showing by Portuguese urban centers, which are increasingly recognized for their hospitality and appeal to international visitors. The designation reinforces the growing trend of Portugal being viewed as a top destination for its friendly atmosphere and welcoming communities.
Porto deserves it. We always go out of our way to help tourists find their way around.
Does this survey count actual interactions or just general vibes? I felt ignored in several ‘welcoming’ spots.
Interesting that Lisbon took second. I found it slightly less charming than Porto, but still very welcoming.
Finally some recognition for my beautiful city! The people here are truly lovely to visitors.
