Pentagon Releases Sixth Batch of UAP Files, Including Secretive Military Program Documents

The Pentagon announced the release of its sixth installment of files concerning unidentified anomalous phenomena, commonly referred to as UAP or UFOs. Published on Friday, the disclosure includes extensive records from a former classified military initiative that explored advanced concepts such as warp drives, wormholes, and potential injuries sustained by personnel during encounters with unknown aircraft.

The latest release comprises 71 documents in total. The Defense Department provided 67 files, while four originated from local law enforcement agencies in Colorado. The collection consists of 55 PDFs, 15 video recordings, and one audio file. With dates spanning from 1952 to 2025, 64 of the 71 documents contain redacted information.

A central focus of the release is the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP). Established by the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2008, the program was designed to investigate aerospace threats far into the future before concluding in 2012. A foundational document outlines the program’s objective to understand the physics and engineering of advanced applications relevant to foreign threats extending through 2050, with a primary emphasis on breakthrough technologies that could disrupt existing technological trends.

The disclosure includes 37 Defense Intelligence Reference Documents (DIRDs) produced under AAWSAP. These papers cover topics including antigravity, negative mass propulsion, and invisibility cloaking. While these documents have been accessible to the public for years through prior Freedom of Information Act requests, this latest version reveals previously withheld details, such as the specific agency offices responsible for their production. The Pentagon clarified in accompanying notes that the DIRDs serve as reference and synthesis products rather than original research, stating they should not be interpreted as validating the concepts discussed.

Among the technical studies is a 38-page document from 2010 analyzing unintended biological effects on humans exposed to anomalous aerospace systems. The report details incidents involving three “fit and active” individuals, identified as antennae engineers, who suffered symptoms including skin heat and redness, hair loss, and signs of radiation illness. One individual later exhibited malignant transformations. Although the source of exposure was not definitively identified, the author hypothesized that some advanced systems were already deployed and beyond full U.S. comprehension.

The video releases feature footage consistent with previous disclosures, showing grainy military camera captures of high-speed objects. One 2022 incident from the Middle East depicts a UAP moving at speeds between 80 and 180 mph. Another clip, captured over the same region, shows approximately six small, agile spherical objects changing direction frequently; this encounter remains unexplained.

Additionally, four videos were submitted by Colorado law enforcement, recording phenomena observed in October 2023. One report describes a silent object featuring flashing red, blue, and green lights. Historical records in this release include an hour-long audio recording and transcript from 1952, featuring Air Force Captain Edward Ruppelt. Ruppelt, who later directed Project Blue Book, noted that approximately 20% of the 800 UFO reports investigated by the Air Force remained unexplained due to the reliability of the observers despite the lack of conclusions.

This release follows a Pentagon announcement earlier in the week regarding a new legal waiver. The waiver permits current and former government employees who were previously restricted by nondisclosure agreements to share UAP-related information with the government.
