Britpop superstars Oasis have signaled the imminent reveal of their next tour through a spectacular aerial display over their hometown of Manchester. On Thursday evening, hundreds of drones illuminated the night sky above the Etihad’s Joie Stadium, home to Manchester City Women.
The formation first displayed the band’s iconic logo before shifting to show the date 14.09.26 and the time 4pm BST (16:00), indicating when fans can expect the official announcement regarding ticket sales or venue details.
The band recently returned to stages last year for their successful Live ’25 tour, their first performances together since reuniting following their 2009 split. Speculation about new dates has been rampant online, with the Gallagher brothers dropping clues across social media platforms in recent weeks.
While the stadium shown in the drone projection is the Etihad Stadium, the band has also hinted at performances at other notable UK venues, including Celtic Park and Knebworth House. The latter venue holds special significance, having hosted a massive crowd of 250,000 fans during the band’s Britpop peak in 1996.
This tease follows the release of “Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger,” a new documentary and concert film written by Steven Knight, known for creating “Peaky Blinders.” Released on Wednesday, the project offers an intimate look at the band’s 2025 reunion tour, which kicked off in Cardiff in July, and features the first joint interviews between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher in over two decades.
Despite persistent rumors and a promoter already granted a Knebworth events license, no formal dates or ticket information had been released prior to this visual announcement. Oasis remain one of the UK’s most successful acts, boasting eight number-one albums and eight number-one singles, including hits like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” and “Roll With It.”
