A new documentary available on Netflix examines the lives of the generation that came of age in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Titled “Turning Point: Generation 9/11,” the film centers on individuals whose parents perished during the attacks, as well as service members who entered the military in response to the events of that day.
Director Brian Knappenberger discussed the creation and themes of the documentary in an interview with CBS News’ “The Takeout.”

Are we sure the military enlistment angle is handled with nuance? Often these docs oversimplify patriotism for drama.
This sounds incredibly powerful. A necessary perspective on how one day reshaped an entire generation’s trajectory.
