ST. PAUL, Minn. — Responders in St. Paul utilized aerial drone technology to expedite the rescue of a young boy who was reported to be in distress in a local pond.
The incident began with a 911 call reporting a child who appeared to be struggling in the water. Upon arrival, St. Paul police officers deployed a drone to scan the area, allowing them to quickly pinpoint the boy’s location and coordinate a faster rescue effort.
Wow, that was fast! Really impressed with how St. Paul PD adapted so quickly to this emergency.
Glad the boy is safe, but how often does this actually happen? Feels like a publicity stunt.
This is exactly why I support responsible drone use by first responders. They save lives!
