Singapore-based broadcaster Mediacorp and South Korean content investment firm Blintn have announced a collaborative effort on “Collateral Romance,” a 12-episode romantic comedy series. The production is being shot on location in both Singapore and South Korea.
This project marks Mediacorp’s second co-production with a South Korean partner, signaling the broadcaster’s ongoing strategy to strengthen creative relationships with the Korean entertainment industry.
The initiative has received support from the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore.
Good to see MDAS support. Is this part of a larger push to attract more foreign crews to Singapore?
Singapore and Seoul would look stunning together on screen. I am curious about the filming locations used.
Another K-drama coproduction? How many of these do we actually need? Hope the story is original this time.
Finally! I have been waiting for more local productions that feature international collaboration. This sounds promising.
