A man has been taken into custody after allegedly issuing verbal threats against the Texas State Capitol, Governor Greg Abbott confirmed on Wednesday evening.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth that law enforcement successfully intervened to stop a potential plot targeting the capitol building in Austin. Details regarding the nature of the threats and the identity of the suspect have not yet been released by authorities.
