Three news organizations—CNN, MS NOW, and Politico—have petitioned a federal court to issue a preliminary injunction barring the White House from enforcing their recent suspension from press grounds. The outlets, which were abruptly banned by President Donald Trump earlier this month, argue that the administration continues to implement the restrictions unpredictably and in violation of existing court orders.
In a filing submitted late Monday, lawyers for the three networks warned that the White House is likely to reinstate a total ban on them as soon as the current temporary restraining order expires.
