On September 17, 2026, the popular music brand Lofi Girl announced the launch of a new 24/7 streaming channel dedicated to house music, titled Lofi House. The station broadcasts exclusively on YouTube, continuing the brand’s long-standing commitment to streaming human-made music rather than generative AI, a core principle since its inception.
To accompany the channel launch, the affiliated label Lofi Records has released a vinyl compilation showcasing 19 contributing artists. Featured musicians include Akraam, lofi cassette, KBS, and Nabuko. The digital album is currently available for streaming on major platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Deezer. A physical vinyl release is also open for pre-order, with the label noting that previous vinyl collections have historically sold out quickly.
The announcement arrives alongside the debut of a new fictional character, Julien Maison, also known as Lofi Teacher. Described as a 30-year-old high-school biology teacher with a prominent mustache, Maison replaces the iconic Lofi Girl, whose real name is Jade. Jade has been absent from the original stream, a narrative device the brand has utilized before new channel launches.
The original Lofi Girl YouTube channel has remained active for over a decade, boasting nearly 16 million subscribers and thousands of concurrent viewers at any given time. This extensive exposure provides significant platform visibility for featured artists. The brand has previously expanded its lineup with channels dedicated to synthwave, classical, hip-hop, and jazz, though a death metal station remains unfounded.
