Lil Durk Acquitted of Murder-for-Hire Charges

A jury has cleared Chicago musician Durk Banks, known professionally as Lil Durk, of all allegations related to a murder-for-hire scheme. The verdict concludes a case centered on the fatal shooting of a man in 2022.

Prosecutors had argued that Banks placed a bounty on the life of Atlanta rapper Tayquian Bowman. According to the indictment, this alleged plot was an act of retaliation for the 2020 shooting death of Banks’s close friend and fellow Chicago artist, King Von.

Banks was acquitted of all charges associated with the scheme.

  1. Wait, so the 2022 shooting was unrelated then? I was sure Durk had ties to that too. Confusing times in rap feud history.
