Leaked Renders Reveal Apple and LG’s Upcoming Smart Home Ecosystem

Following earlier reports that Apple and LG have collaborated on a new line of smart home devices, fresh leaks have provided a clearer picture of the hardware coming to market. According to a reputable industry leaker who posted renders and specifications on social media, the partnership includes at least three confirmed gadgets: a smart deadbolt, a thermostat, and a temperature sensor, with more expected.

The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock features a rotating keypad interface. Reportedly, the device supports automatic unlocking, tap-to-unlock functionality, and emergency power backups, along with master code capabilities. The package is said to include two mechanical backup keys.

The LG Smart Thermostat follows a conventional circular design similar to existing competitors on the market. It reportedly offers adjustable settings for humidity control, brightness, and language preferences. Meanwhile, the LG Temperature Sensor is designed to detect both temperature and humidity levels. It features a magnetic rear for attachment to metal surfaces and is powered by a replaceable battery.

While these three items have been visualized, rumors suggest the collaboration extends further. Apple and LG are reportedly also developing a video doorbell, indoor and outdoor security cameras, and a floodlight camera. All products in this joint venture will carry the LG brand rather than appearing as Apple-branded devices.

An official reveal from the companies is anticipated next week, which would coincide with potential announcements regarding an Apple smart home hub.
