Despite their debut album capturing widespread acclaim and impressing icons like Iggy Pop, the pair faced life-threatening medical emergencies that threatened to halt their momentum entirely.
At a surprise performance in London, the band cultivated an intensely protective atmosphere, encouraging crowd-surfing while simultaneously acting as security. Lead vocalist and guitarist Phoebe Lunny urged fans to report any safety concerns, jokingly promising aggressive retaliation against harassers, and asked attendees to assist those who fell during the moshpit.
